Our drawing class meets on Thursdays at the BDAS in Bowral.  The ages of participants has ranged from 17 to 90 years. New participants are always welcome.  Many of my students literally haven’t drawn since school and for some that is over 40 years.  Any skill level is welcomed.

We usually draw for an hour then have a coffee break and a critique of our works before returning to drawing again.

I’ve always found the participants to be very positive and supportive of each other, giving constructive criticism and encouragement. Its a constant pleasure to work with people with positive attitudes.

Here are some images of their work in class.

I hope you enjoy seeing what we do.

I’ll make another post soon with more of their drawings.

Kind regards

Tracey Miller

One of my favourite drawing exercises is making a blind drawing. Students find this to be challenging but the results can be dynamic.

In blind drawing the person draws, by copying an image, without looking at his page.

A bit of fantasy drawing is challenging. We drew shoes with unusual and impossible surfaces.
